Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Playing Children by Taniguchi Natsuko was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 25,000.00 (€ 2,899.54). Admittedly, works by Taniguchi Natsuko have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Playing Children in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 247,500.00 (€ 20,375.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Playing Children von Taniguchi Natsuko im November 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 25.000,00 (€ 2.899,54) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Taniguchi Natsuko auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Playing Children im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 247.500,00 (€ 20.375,80).
