Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Park Bath by Tang Yunyu was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Chinese Ink and Works on Paper auction at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 23,600.00 (€ 2,757.11) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tang Yunyu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reclining Nude on a Green Couch in November 2012 with an auction result of HKD 402,500.00 (€ 39,909.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Park Bath von Tang Yunyu wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Chinese Ink and Works on Paper bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 23.600,00 (€ 2.757,11) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tang Yunyu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reclining Nude on a Green Couch im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 402.500,00 (€ 39.909,68).
