Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Tang Yifen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work The Thatched Hut sold for HKD 403,200.00 (€ 44,850.42) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tang Yifen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jiao Shan Landscape in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 2,240,000.00 (€ 258,902.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tang Yifen erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit The Thatched Hut für HKD 403.200,00 (€ 44.850,42) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 180.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tang Yifen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jiao Shan Landscape im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.240.000,00 (€ 258.902,56).
