Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Misty River After Night Rain by Tang Yifen. The price achieved of USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,066.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tang Yifen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jiao Shan Landscape in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 2,240,000.00 (€ 258,902.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Misty River After Night Rain von Tang Yifen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.066,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tang Yifen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jiao Shan Landscape im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.240.000,00 (€ 258.902,56).
