Auction result misses estimated price range
In March last year a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait of Lu You, 1930 by Tang Di for USD 956.25 (€ 862.03). This price was achieved in the auction The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale at Bonhams in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tang Di achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Character in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 3,220,000.00 (€ 315,202.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait of Lu You, 1930 von Tang Di für USD 956,25 (€ 862,03) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale bei Bonhams in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tang Di erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Character im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.220.000,00 (€ 315.202,00).
