Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Admiring Pine by Tang Di was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Sun Ah Book Center auction at Christies in December 2021. The price achieved of HKD 16,250.00 (€ 1,840.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tang Di achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Character in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 3,220,000.00 (€ 315,202.00).

Die Arbeit Admiring Pine von Tang Di wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Sun Ah Book Center bei Christies versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 16.250,00 (€ 1.840,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tang Di erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Character im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.220.000,00 (€ 315.202,00).
