Four small etchings: the first of horizontal format titled Banshu no ie (House in Harima Province [present-day Hyogo Prefecture]), edition number 124/150, dated '88, overall: 17cm x 25cm (6 11/16in x 9 7/8in), the plate: 7.7cm x 15.5cm (3 1/16in x 6 1/8in); the second of horizontal format, titled Ki to yane #3 (Tree and Roofs #3), edition number 74/150, dated '86, overall: 20cm x 24.2cm (7 7/8in x 9½in), the plate: 9.5 x 12.3cm (3¼in x 4 13/16in); the third of vertical format titled Hasagoshi no ie #3 (House over a Rice Rack #3), edition number 37/150, dated '86, overall: 24cm x 20cm (9 7/16in x 7 7/8in), the plate: 12.3cm x 9.5cm (4 13/16in x 3¼in); the fourth of vertical format titled Ishigaki to yane (Stone Wall and a Roof), edition number 66/150, dated '83, overall: 23.8cm x 19.8cm (5 7/16in x 7 13/16in), the plate: 12.5cm x 9.5cm (4 15/16in x 3¼in); each signed in Roman script in pencil T. Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Showa era (1926-1989), dated 1983, 1986 and 1988 by Tanaka Ryōhei was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,181.95). Admittedly, works by Tanaka Ryōhei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Showa era (1926-1989), dated 1986 and 1988 in November last year with an auction result of GBP 4,462.50 (€ 5,171.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Showa era (1926-1989), dated 1983, 1986 and 1988 von Tanaka Ryōhei kam im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.181,95) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tanaka Ryōhei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Showa era (1926-1989), dated 1986 and 1988 im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.462,50 (€ 5.171,02).
