Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script by Tan Zekai was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. The price achieved of HKD 21,250.00 (€ 2,287.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tan Zekai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy In Kaishu in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 20,224.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script von Tan Zekai wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 21.250,00 (€ 2.287,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tan Zekai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Kaishu im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 20.224,87).
