This artwork by Tan Zekai achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2016. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Poem In Running Script sold for USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,425.81) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Tan Zekai; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Calligraphy In Kaishu sold at auction in April 2015 with the realized price of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 20,224.87).

In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Poem In Running Script für USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.425,81) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Tan Zekai; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Kaishu im April 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 20.224,87).
