Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Burning Syria by Tammam Azzam for GBP 625.00 (€ 704.81). This price was achieved in the auction Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tammam Azzam achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (From The Stores Series) in March 2016 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 21,949.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Burning Syria von Tammam Azzam für GBP 625,00 (€ 704,81) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tammam Azzam erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (From The Stores Series) im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 21.949,08).
