Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A black cat by Takahashi Shōtei was sold in the From Artist to Woodblock: Japanese Prints auction at Christies in London in June 2020. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,340.32). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Takahashi Shōtei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abalone diver, 1931.8 in September 2010 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 45,952.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A black cat von Takahashi Shōtei wurde im Juni 2020 in der Auktion From Artist to Woodblock: Japanese Prints bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.340,32) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Takahashi Shōtei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abalone diver, 1931.8 im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 45.952,50).
