Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Poem by Du Fu by Tai Jingnong was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 119,700.00 (€ 14,472.60) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Tai Jingnong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in Official Script in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 937,500.00 (€ 108,425.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Poem by Du Fu von Tai Jingnong kam im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 119.700,00 (€ 14.472,60) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tai Jingnong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy in Official Script im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 937.500,00 (€ 108.425,23).
