Auction result misses estimated price range
In September this year a collector was able to acquire the work Calligraphy in running script by Tai Jingnong for USD 2,560.00 (€ 2,418.75). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tai Jingnong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in Official Script in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 937,500.00 (€ 108,425.23).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Calligraphy in running script von Tai Jingnong für USD 2.560,00 (€ 2.418,75) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tai Jingnong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy in Official Script im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 937.500,00 (€ 108.425,23).
