Upper estimate price exceeded by 39 %.
The work Longevity and Health by Tai Jingnong was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. It achieved a price of HKD 138,600.00 (€ 16,757.75), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39%. Admittedly, works by Tai Jingnong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in Official Script in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 937,500.00 (€ 108,425.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 39 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Longevity and Health von Tai Jingnong kam im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 138.600,00 (€ 16.757,75) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tai Jingnong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy in Official Script im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 937.500,00 (€ 108.425,23).
