Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy by Tai Jingnong. The price achieved of HKD 36,000.00 (€ 36,763.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tai Jingnong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy in Official Script, which sold at auction in June 2015 for HKD 937,500.00 (€ 108,425.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy von Tai Jingnong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 36.000,00 (€ 36.763,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Tai Jingnong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy in Official Script beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für HKD 937.500,00 (€ 108.425,23) versteigert wurde.
