A top price for T. J. Wilcox - as previously expected
In March 2018 Christies in New York held the auction on paper | online, which included this untitled work by T. J. Wilcox. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,125.00 (€ 913.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, this work without title is the most expensive artwork by T. J. Wilcox that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im März 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion on paper | online durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von T. J. Wilcox zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.125,00 (€ 913,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist dieses Werk ohne Titel das teuerste Kunstwerk von T. J. Wilcox, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
