In March 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work Two 'Klismos' Chairs, Model No. 5 by Terrence Harold Robsjohn-Gibbings. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,523.87), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Terrence Harold Robsjohn-Gibbings have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rare large "Mesa" coffee table in December 2006 with an auction result of USD 54,000.00 (€ 40,918.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im März 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two 'Klismos' Chairs, Model No. 5 von Terrence Harold Robsjohn-Gibbings zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.523,87) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Terrence Harold Robsjohn-Gibbings auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rare large "Mesa" coffee table im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 54.000,00 (€ 40.918,39).
