Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Hilly Verdant Landscape With Cows; And A Companion Work by Thomas Creswick for USD 1,000.00 (€ 684.79). This price was achieved in the auction The House Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,600.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Creswick achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The London Road A Hundred Years Ago in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 38,240.00 (€ 56,912.57).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Hilly Verdant Landscape With Cows; And A Companion Work von Thomas Creswick für USD 1.000,00 (€ 684,79) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.200,00 – 1.600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Creswick erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The London Road A Hundred Years Ago im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.240,00 (€ 56.912,57).
