Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
When the work Femme En Rose Dans Un Jardin Près De La Plage by Suzanne Eisendieck was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in July 2019, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - USD 2,500.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,423.18). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Suzanne Eisendieck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Restaurant Au Port De St. Jean, which sold at auction in March 2007 for GBP 13,200.00 (€ 19,428.89).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Femme En Rose Dans Un Jardin Près De La Plage von Suzanne Eisendieck im Juli 2019 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – USD 2.500,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.423,18) mehr als dreimal so hoch. Für andere Arbeiten von Suzanne Eisendieck mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Restaurant Au Port De St. Jean beobachtet, die im März 2007 für GBP 13.200,00 (€ 19.428,89) versteigert wurde.
