Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bedroom Chair by Susan Ryder was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in March 2004. The price achieved of GBP 1,195.00 (€ 1,788.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Susan Ryder - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Cupid Lamp, which sold at auction in August 2007 for GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,740.88).

Die Arbeit Bedroom Chair von Susan Ryder wurde im März 2004 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.195,00 (€ 1.788,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Susan Ryder mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Cupid Lamp beobachtet, die im August 2007 für GBP 4.560,00 (€ 6.740,88) versteigert wurde.
