Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Sunil Madhav Sen could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work Untitled (Double-sided - Female Nude; Horse) changed hands for USD 630.00 (€ 567.93) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Sunil Madhav Sen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Man With A Drum in March 2016 with an auction result of USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,414.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sunil Madhav Sen konnte im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (Double-sided - Female Nude; Horse) für USD 630,00 (€ 567,93) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sunil Madhav Sen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Man With A Drum im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.414,40).
