In March 2016 Christies in New York held the auction The Lahiri Collection: Indian and Himalayan Art, Ancient and Modern, which included the work Krishna Killing Crane Demon by Sunil Madhav Sen. The price achieved of USD 2,375.00 (€ 2,085.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Other works by Sunil Madhav Sen have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2016 the work A Man With A Drum was auctioned for USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,414.40).
