A top price for Sun Yi - as previously expected
The work Pheasant by Sun Yi was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. The price achieved of HKD 93,750.00 (€ 11,032.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Pheasant is the most expensive artwork by Sun Yi that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Pheasant von Sun Yi wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 11.032,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Pheasant das teuerste Kunstwerk von Sun Yi, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
