The work Orchid by Sun Xingge was sold in the The Beauty of Brushes – A Selection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy 4 auction at POLY in May 2018. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 41,300.00 (€ 4,512.21), 38% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Sun Xingge have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Plants in May 2014 with an auction result of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 35,465.54).

Die Arbeit Orchid von Sun Xingge wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion The Beauty of Brushes – A Selection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy 4 bei POLY versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 41.300,00 (€ 4.512,21) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sun Xingge auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Plants im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 35.465,54).
