Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy in Running Script by Sun Xingge was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 12,500.00 (€ 1,444.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sun Xingge achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Plants in May 2014 with an auction result of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 35,465.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script von Sun Xingge kam im Mai 2016 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 12.500,00 (€ 1.444,77) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sun Xingge erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Plants im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 35.465,54).
