A top price for Sun Wen - as previously expected
The work Calligraphy by Sun Wen was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 3,800,000.00 – 7,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 4,536,000.00 (€ 548,435.42) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Calligraphy is the most expensive artwork by Sun Wen that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Sun Wen kam im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 3.800.000,00 – 7.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 4.536.000,00 (€ 548.435,42) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Calligraphy das teuerste Kunstwerk von Sun Wen, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
