Auction result misses estimated price range
In November last year a collector was able to acquire the work Calligraphy in Running Script by Sun Wen for HKD 191,250.00 (€ 23,732.56). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings at Bonhams in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sun Wen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in April last year with an auction result of HKD 4,536,000.00 (€ 548,435.42).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script von Sun Wen für HKD 191.250,00 (€ 23.732,56) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Bonhams in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sun Wen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.536.000,00 (€ 548.435,42).
