This artwork by Sun Wen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Hong Kong in August 2021. In the Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale auction, the work Calligraphy In Running Script sold for HKD 76,500.00 (€ 8,330.72) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sun Wen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in April last year with an auction result of HKD 4,536,000.00 (€ 548,435.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sun Wen erzielte im August 2021 bei Bonhams in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script für HKD 76.500,00 (€ 8.330,72) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sun Wen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.536.000,00 (€ 548.435,42).
