Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy by Sun Wen. The price achieved of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 20,485.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sun Wen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in April last year with an auction result of HKD 4,536,000.00 (€ 548,435.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy von Sun Wen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 20.485,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sun Wen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.536.000,00 (€ 548.435,42).
