The work Ink Clouds by Sun Liang was sold in the Chinese Contemporary Ink auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2018. The result of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,643.38) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 50,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sun Liang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Suitor in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 1,580,000.00 (€ 137,307.87).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Ink Clouds von Sun Liang wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.643,38) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 100.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sun Liang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Suitor im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.580.000,00 (€ 137.307,87).
