Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Asia: New York Edition, which included this untitled work by Sun Liang. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,426.74) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sun Liang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Suitor in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 1,580,000.00 (€ 137,307.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: New York Edition durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Sun Liang zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.426,74) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sun Liang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Suitor im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.580.000,00 (€ 137.307,87).
