The work Planting Rice by Sujarit Hirankul was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2006. It achieved a price of HKD 48,000.00 (€ 4,654.85), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Sujarit Hirankul; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Siam sold at auction in November 2021 with the realized price of HKD 44,100.00 (€ 4,903.47).

Die Arbeit Planting Rice von Sujarit Hirankul kam im November 2006 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 48.000,00 (€ 4.654,85) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Sujarit Hirankul; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Siam im November 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 44.100,00 (€ 4.903,47).
