Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Agony Aunt by Sue Macartney-Snape was sold in the MARITIME PICTURES AND WATERCOLOURS auction at Christies in London in June 2005. The price achieved of GBP 264.00 (€ 391.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sue Macartney-Snape achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunday morning in the shires in December 2004 with an auction result of GBP 3,346.00 (€ 4,735.51).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 264,00 (€ 391,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200,00 – 300,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sue Macartney-Snape erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sunday morning in the shires im Dezember 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.346,00 (€ 4.735,51).
