Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Harvest by Sudjono Abdullah was auctioned at Bonhams in Hong Kong in October 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 6,120.00 (€ 677.84). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sudjono Abdullah - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape with vulcano and sawahs, which sold at auction in September 2010 for EUR 1,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Harvest von Sudjono Abdullah im Oktober 2020 bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 6.120,00 (€ 677,84) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Sudjono Abdullah mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape with vulcano and sawahs beobachtet, die im September 2010 für EUR 1.500,00 versteigert wurde.
