Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work An Indonesian Landscape, With Houses, Palm Trees And Rice Fields by Sudjono Abdullah for GBP 125.00 (€ 152.15). This price was achieved in the auction Travel, Science & Natural History at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Sudjono Abdullah have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape with vulcano and sawahs in September 2010 with an auction result of EUR 1,500.00.
