This artwork by Suad Al Attar achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in October 2007. In the International Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work Forest sold for USD 67,000.00 (€ 46,309.10) - well above the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Suad Al Attar; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sunset on Salam City sold at auction in May this year with the realized price of GBP 70,250.00 (€ 81,736.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 91 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Suad Al Attar erzielte im Oktober 2007 bei Christies in Dubai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Forest für USD 67.000,00 (€ 46.309,10) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Suad Al Attar; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Sunset on Salam City im Mai diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 70.250,00 (€ 81.736,34).
