Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Suad Al Attar achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in November last year. In the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIThe Finale auction, the work The Silent Cry sold for GBP 23,587.50 (€ 27,332.53) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Suad Al Attar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sunset on Salam City, which sold at auction in May this year for GBP 70,250.00 (€ 81,736.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Suad Al Attar erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIThe Finale wurde die Arbeit The Silent Cry für GBP 23.587,50 (€ 27.332,53) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Suad Al Attar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sunset on Salam City beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für GBP 70.250,00 (€ 81.736,34) versteigert wurde.
