Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2012 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work Fighter by Su Xinping. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 17,051.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Su Xinping achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cheers in September 2007 with an auction result of USD 493,000.00 (€ 346,719.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2012 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fighter von Su Xinping zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 17.051,55) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Su Xinping erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cheers im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 493.000,00 (€ 346.719,18).
