Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Untitled (Diptych) by Su-en Wong was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,326.33). Other works by Su-en Wong have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2008 by the work Mirage Lake/Peak Of Perfection/Twilight at USD 12,500.00 (€ 8,877.21).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Untitled (Diptych) von Su-en Wong im September 2008 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 7.500,00 (€ 5.326,33) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Su-en Wong wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im September 2008 die Arbeit Mirage Lake/Peak Of Perfection/Twilight mit USD 12.500,00 (€ 8.877,21).
