Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Stuart Pearson Wright achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in March this year. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work The Cuckold sold for GBP 4,462.50 (€ 5,076.96) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,800.00. Admittedly, works by Stuart Pearson Wright have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tisbury Court 1999, A Tragicomedy in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 26,274.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Stuart Pearson Wright erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit The Cuckold für GBP 4.462,50 (€ 5.076,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stuart Pearson Wright auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tisbury Court 1999, A Tragicomedy im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 26.274,96).
