This price was achieved in the auction Property of the Scheringa Museum of Realist Art at Christies in Amsterdam and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 700.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Stuart Pearson Wright have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tisbury Court 1999, A Tragicomedy in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 26,274.96).
