Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Strawberry BangBang by Stickymonger was sold in the No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 10,080.00 (€ 1,207.94) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stickymonger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Strawberry Stalkers - Happy Together in July last year with an auction result of HKD 1,638,000.00 (€ 204,388.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Strawberry BangBang von Stickymonger wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 10.080,00 (€ 1.207,94) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stickymonger erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Strawberry Stalkers - Happy Together im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.638.000,00 (€ 204.388,75).
