Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work No Worry. I Don't Write But Paint by Stickymonger was auctioned at Phillips in Hong Kong in June last year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 529,200.00 (€ 64,399.73). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Stickymonger - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Strawberry Stalkers - Happy Together, which sold at auction in July last year for HKD 1,638,000.00 (€ 204,388.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit No Worry. I Don't Write But Paint von Stickymonger kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 500.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 529.200,00 (€ 64.399,73) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Stickymonger mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Strawberry Stalkers - Happy Together beobachtet, die im Juli letzten Jahres für HKD 1.638.000,00 (€ 204.388,75) versteigert wurde.
