Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,275.00 (€ 1,080.51). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Steve Schapiro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Worst is Yet to Come, New York, 1968 in May 2018 with an auction result of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,810.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Al Pacino, Kiss From "The Godfather" von Steve Schapiro kam im August 2021 bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.275,00 (€ 1.080,51) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Steve Schapiro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Worst is Yet to Come, New York, 1968 im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.810,73).
