Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,268.00 (€ 2,662.85). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stephen Shore achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Beverly Boulevard and La Brea Avenue, Los Angeles, California, June 21 in November last year with an auction result of GBP 32,760.00 (€ 37,961.36).

Die Arbeit 'Dewdney Street Ave., Regina, Saskatchewan', 17 August 1974 von Stephen Shore kam im November 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.268,00 (€ 2.662,85) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stephen Shore erzielen.
