The work Train Station by Stephen Mangan was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in April last year. It achieved a price of GBP 1,530.00 (€ 1,824.47), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 28%. Admittedly, works by Stephen Mangan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Green Flag in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,764.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Train Station von Stephen Mangan wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.530,00 (€ 1.824,47) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stephen Mangan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Green Flag im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.764,65).
