Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Clothes Lines by Stephen Mangan was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in April last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 892.50 (€ 1,064.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Stephen Mangan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Green Flag in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,764.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Clothes Lines von Stephen Mangan wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 892,50 (€ 1.064,27) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stephen Mangan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Green Flag im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.764,65).
