Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Boats at Harbour by Stephen Mangan. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,211.25 (€ 1,444.37). Admittedly, works by Stephen Mangan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Green Flag in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,764.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Boats at Harbour von Stephen Mangan zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.211,25 (€ 1.444,37) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stephen Mangan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Green Flag im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.764,65).
