Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work A Gentle Breeze by Stephen Mangan. The price achieved of GBP 3,187.50 (€ 3,738.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Stephen Mangan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Green Flag, which sold at auction in April 2008 for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,764.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Gentle Breeze von Stephen Mangan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.187,50 (€ 3.738,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Stephen Mangan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Green Flag beobachtet, die im April 2008 für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.764,65) versteigert wurde.
