The work Lunch al fresco by Stéphane Leroy was sold in the IMPRESSIONIST, MODERN AND POST WAR ART auction at Christies in London in June 2002. The price achieved of GBP 4,700.00 (€ 7,269.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Lunch al fresco is the most expensive artwork by Stéphane Leroy that we have observed at auctions so far.
